  • “This may shock a lot of people but we scaled our last company, FreeeUp without spending any money on ad. We realized early on that it’s not impossible to run ads to FreeeUp. I actually the new ones will do a better job than we did, it was just a very difficult business model.” -Nathan“That blueprint comes down to five things, that is podcasts & partnerships, backlinks, networking, influencers, and the last one is affiliates although you should have an affiliate program regardless of whether you are doing organic marketing or not.” -Nathan“One of our popular formulas is the podcast outreach formula and it’s something that I have been using for years. I get on podcast just by invites too but I have a VA working behind the scenes that just do podcast research for me.” -Nathan“You don’t have to go like me doing a podcast a day but you should at least be doing a podcast a week. It’s great for networking and meeting other people in your space. It’s great for brand awareness. It’s great for SEO and backlinks and generally just snowballing effect and authority.” -Nathan“Backlinks is also something we have running on the background and there is also domain authority which is essentially 0 to 100, and 100 is Amazon and all those big players. With FreeeUP, over four years, we got to 67 without spending any money on ads which is very tough to do, and with Outsource School we are at 27 to 29 out of 100 and we’ve only been in business for four months. The reason for this is we are constantly looking for backlinkpartners.” -Nathan“We started FreeeUp in the Amazon space. We went after Amazon sellers for writing VAs and freelancers to Amazon sellers. We went to every Amazon software company out there and we said, ‘Hey, you don’t provide VAs, we don’t provide software, we’re both at the same communities of Amazon sellers, why don’t we cross-promote each other’ and so we have a partnership playbook.” -Nathan“Networking and lead generation almost go together but not in the sense that you would think. I try to network with new entrepreneurs every single week. I recommend that people do that as well but you also don’t want to be networking with people that had nothing to do with you, your business, or your industry.” -Nathan“I think that’s an important point. Understanding what you want to get out of your relationship with a VA. It is something that you need to think about in advance of hiring.” -Ben“My favorite part about Virtual Assistants and really how I came up with this organic marketing blueprint is, trial and error. You can try so many different things, try them for a few weeks, or a month. It’s only going to cost you a few hundred bucks but maybe you come across something that is a game-changer to your business. Don’t forget about the trial and error that you wouldn’t be able to do if you are just hiring in the US.” -Nathan
