- Part 1 Bridging the entrepreneurial gap to the digital age
“Entrepreneurship is as much a passion as it is a job.” - Ben“What people need is someone who has a good attitude, someone who’s willing to work hard because lots of people with talent also do nothing. I was that guy who showed up and people gave me work and contracts.” - Doug“In terms of choosing a marketing channel, either non-digital or digital, I look at it from the perspective of where’s your customer.” - Doug “Finding the limits of a marketing channel is looking at your analytics and data. What I tend to do is look for a multi-channel approach. You have to look for other complementary channels.” - Doug “One of the things I have enjoyed about doing MarTech podcast is listening from industry experts across a wide variety of different channels. It enables me to understand marketing from different perspectives and makes me a better marketer.” - Ben“As your business scales, you will come to a point that you might outgrow the people that are giving you advice. You have to realize that because if you don’t, it could have dire consequences.” - Doug“Don’t be afraid to upscale the people you are working with as your business grows to make sure you have the very best people that are at a level above you. People that at least have gone through the challenges that you are going to have as you grow your business.” - Doug“You need to make sure that you are developing the capabilities for your business beyond just the ones that you have. You have to be honest about who is working with you and what value you are providing. - Doug
